Learning outcomes and assessment
To be able to evaluate and review the literature regarding energy consumption. - Examination: course work, exam. Assessment criteria: literature review on energy consumption in public sector in Latvia.
To be able to collect, summarize and analyze data of energy consumption. - Examination: practical works, course work, exam. Assessment criteria: mathematical analyses of electricity data and electrical appliances.
To be able to develop Demand Side Management program. - Examination: practical works, course work, exam. Assessment criteria: development of proposals for energy savings, economical and ecological substantiation of developed proposals.

Abstract
The course “Demand Side Management” is based on the identification, use and evaluation of consumer resources, the development of demand side management program, as well as analysis of legislation and documentation related energy consumption.
Goals and objectives of the course
in terms of competences and skills
To get the knowledge about identification, use and evaluation of energy consumption data. To understand how to develop a Demand Side Management program. To get the knowledge about literature review.
Assignments
Visit to Energy Efficiency Center. Analysis of statistical data and literature on energy consumption in public sector in Latvia. Collection, compilation and analysis of energy consumption data. The development of demand side management program. Questionnaire conducting and analyze.
