Environmental and Climate Technologies 2010 The Scientific Conference will be held 12 and 13 of October 2010. The Conference has been envisaged as a regular scientific forum and its main aim is to acquaint researchers with achievements in the area of energy systems and environmental engineering and to give the scientists, especially doctoral students, an opportunity to publish the results of their research. The contributions in the conference are peer-reviewed and published in the Scientific journal of Riga Technical University. Since 2007 this journal is referred in such online research databases as VINITI RAN, EBSCO and CSA. Topic of Interest for the year 2010: Low carbon emission technologies - technological solutions and policy support
Climate change is a topic that lately causes the most interest and concerns among all environmental problems raising hot discussions among scientists, politicians, and practitioners, as well as within the society as a whole. Therefore, the Conference of the year 2010 will be devoted to the mitigation of climate change - the development of low carbon emission technologies, and we invite all researchers working in this field to share their achievements in order to implement the various initiatives in the area of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency. The main topics of interest are - development of new or improvement of existing technologies, political issues and tools for evaluation of the new technologies and policy achievements (life cycle assessment, carbon footprint and such). Language: The official Conference language is English. Fee: The registration fee covers a copy of the conference proceedings, admittance to all sessions, refreshment breaks and the conference dinner. All authors whose papers are accepted must register in advance for the Conference. The registration fee is 50 EUR (for invited presentations there will be a reduced fee). Important dates: Abstracts: Authors are invited to submit a maximum 1 000 characters long abstract on A4 format paper. Times New Roman 12pt regular font must be used. Abstracts can be submitted by e-mail, to the address for Correspondence. All abstracts will be reviewed and notification of acceptance will be sent via e-mail by May 15, 2010. All the scientific papers for the journal are peer reviewed by the international Editorial Board. The formatting rules are available for download now.
