1634 newcomers applied for studies at EEF up to 26th of July. Some of them had applied to the environmental engineering program. Registration for studies at RTU starts on 6th of August and will continue until 10th of August in the main building at 1Kaļķu iela . Do not forget to register for environmental engineering study program, so you get as successful as bachelor program graduate Martins Pelss.
Martins Pelss is a Bachelor Graduate of RTU EEF Environmental Science 2010 (Bachelor paper "Thermal Bridges”), who has chosen to continue his graduate studies at RTU VASSI. He has used the Erasmus program possibilities and had studied at Swedish Royal Technical University for one semester. In the 2nd semester of the 2nd year of studied a very well known in Latvia consulting company Ekodoma, Ltd invited him to work as a project assistant. He chose Environmental Engineering because he always liked the idea of alternative energy and its possibilities, as it is a real solution of many world problems. Martins acknowledges that the studies  are not that complicated so someone is not able to handle it, even though the first year might seem boring and long because of mathematics and physics, but everything good comes with waiting.Martins says that teachers at VASSI are motivating and they develop their knowledge all the time, which is very important because science is evolving continuously. He enjoyed frequent study trips a lot that helped him to understand how the alternative energy looks in real life. Martins chose to go for masters’ degree as he believes that the further we go the more specific knowledge we get. Martins believes that if you study well good things will come to you. The very heart of what Martins mentions is that as in any field and especially in environmental science you have to be open for changes and for self-development!
