"Geophysics of Waste Management" training will be held on 15-19th of February, at Riga Technical University The course is a result of a long-term cooperation between the Institute of Energy Systems and Environment of Riga Technical University, and the company of Leipzig -Geophysik GGD mbH. It is a well-known German company that offers services related to the physical and technical characteristics and geophysical methods in Germany. The course led by professors Jakob Schwab, Dr. Tobias Karp, and Dr.Peter Dietrich of Environmental Research Center, Leipzig. Researcher Francesco Romagnoli - geophysical specialist represents the Institute of Energy Systems and Environment. Francesco Romagnoli has been representative in Milan (Italy) Spa ROKSOIL company. The company specialized in rock and soil mechanics, hydrology, hydrogeology, and conducts research of new technologies. F. Romagnoli in this company was as a project manager and designer and technical consultant. Most remarkable projects were: subway line, station construction, tunnels, highways, water supply systems, railway tunnel construction, etc. Course "Geophysics of Waste Management" will take place at Riga Technical University, Kaļķu Street 1, room 219.
