A book “Environment and sustainable development” was presented during the international conference held at the University of Latvia “Education for sustainable development as challenge for university education reform” on 6th of October. The book was published with the support of Norwegian government project LV 0044.
Prof. Dagnija Blumberga wrote a chapter on environmental technologies. She mention at the presentation  that it was a challenging and interesting time to work in this project. Juris Ekmanis, the chairman of the Latvian Academy of Science said that it was very important that book was written in Latvian language and there was a lot of new developed terminology introduced there.
