Pellet analysis in IESE "Vides fakti"
Latvian TV programm "Vides fakti" (Environmental facts) on 10th ofDecember 2011 is covering the topic of pellets - the national and environmentally firendly fuel. Programm team visited RTU IESE Laboratory of environmental monitoring where 5 different pellet types were tested. Some parts from an interview with IESE director prof. Dagnija Blumberga are included.
In the programm there is a story on international competition Energy Neighbourhoods.
Newspaper "Diena" - RTU Cooperation
In the Latvian newspaper "Diena" prof. Dagnija Blumberga tells about succusful research of IESE students which is based on real projects in Latvia. Head of Constructor office in JSC Komforts Kristaps Grauzdulis acknowledges great cooperation between JSC Komforts and the scientists of RTU IESE. Due the cooperation a flue gas condenser developed by PHD student Edgars Vigants has been brought into production.

Solar pellet combisystem in Dienas Bizness
Andris Lubins, the owner of Ltd "Grandeg", gives an insight in new technologies and innovations of Grandeg. More information is given about boiler self-cleaning and pellet pneumatic feeding technologies. All of which are incorporated in the Solar pellet combisystem.
On October 27, year 2011, the National radio of Latvia translated its programm "Kā labāk dzīvot" (how to live better). It was organized together with RTU IESE.
In the programm the director of RTU IESE and supervisor of Environmental monitoring laboratory Aivars Žandeckis participated.They were interviewed about house heating systems, boilers and fuel kinds, energy efficiency and mitigation of energy consumption within residential buildings.
