| RTU professor: Energy efficinecy measures in the Castle of Light are 20-40 years old |

Article reveals two diffirent opinions about planned energy efficiency measures in the Castle of Light - the new National library of Latvia. Indrikis Builis, Culture ministries head of National library project implementation department, belives that the energy efficiency technologies are the newest and most innovative wich you can find at the moment. IESE professor Andra Blumberga belives that the measures and technologies are 20 to 40 years old and can be considered as "genre classics", construction standards are being met but there is nothing innovative. Professor also gives comments on which measures would be new and innovative, how things are being done in other countries like Great Brittain and Spain and how the situation could be improved here in the new National library's building. |
