RTU IESE has started targeted activities in biofuel energy development since 2005 by establishing the Environment monitoring laboratory. The main work field of the laboratory includes solid biomass quality testing for scientific research, academic study process, and also as a commercial service.
With an increasing interest in renewable energy resources and an effective use of resources, the necessity for fuel quality control is also becoming increasingly important. Environment monitoring laboratory offers services performed only by highly qualified specialists, guided by the Latvian National Standard Methods.
