The aim of the Solar Energy System laboratory (SESL) is to research, simulate and develop solar heating systems.  The main lines of action are to research solar collectors, heat accumulation systems and control principles and mechanisms, as well as use modelling softwares to analyse and improve. In the future it is planned to have experimental solar heating system that would allow to imitate different existing systems. Another aim of the laboratory is to research the capabilities of using phase change materials in heat accumulation systems and employ computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software to analyse and optimize solar systems.
